Floral Glass Tealight Holders

Marimekko ’s Unikko tealight holders, shaped like Unikko flowers, are made of glass or stoneware. It is recommended to wash these products by hand to ensure optimal care. In honor of the 60th anniversary of the Unikko pattern, each item in this set proudly bears the anniversary stamp on the bottom. Unikko by Maija Isola

Unikko was designed by Maija Isola in 1964 and has become an international icon of print design. Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko , initially believed it was impossible to capture the true essence of real flowers in print, which led to floral prints being excluded from the Marimekko collections. Consequently, Maija Isola developed Unikko as an abstract representation of a flower rather than a photorealistic image. Today, Unikko is a vibrant symbol of joy and creativity that blends seamlessly into the design identity of Marimekko .
