“Aalto” means “wave.” So it seems only natural that Aino Aalto , the wife of the famous architect and designer Alvar Aalto, was inspired by waves of all things to create her glass vessels. The “Aino & ” glass series was created as early as 1932 and was originally called “ & ” (“Bölgeblick & ”), a name that describes the ripples left on the water’s surface by a pebble thrown into the water.

The products in the Aino Aalto series are perfect for any occasion, whether a formal dinner party or a children’s birthday party. The Aino Aalto glass series was awarded the gold medal at the Milan Triennale in 1936. The pitcher offered here is a 120 cl clear glass pitcher that matches the “ Aino Aalto ” drinking glasses and the rest of the “ Aino Aalto ” glass series by Iittala. Please note that hot water must not be poured into the pitcher.
