Sacco is a truly iconic piece of furniture—it’s the world’s first beanbag! While searching for a seat that would perfectly conform to the human body, the Italian designers came up with the idea of filling the bags with polystyrene beads. Even back then, these beads stood out for their extreme flexibility; given their light weight, they were both functional and inexpensive to manufacture. A groundbreaking idea that quickly found its way into the lives of young people. The “ Sacco ” beanbag from Zanotta is a true classic in the world of furniture—and, not least, part of the collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
