The “ Eye ” wall clock was designed by George Nelson in 1964. This extraordinary clock is now manufactured by Vitra from brass and walnut. Its large dimensions—34 x 76 cm—really highlight the clock’s eye-like design.
Featuring a variety of materials and sculptural forms, George Nelson’s clocks embody the spirit of the 1950s. Even today, his clocks remain a refreshing alternative to ordinary timepieces. The Vitra Design Museum is reissuing these designs—highly sought after by collectors—in a faithful reproduction of the originals.
