His Zoo Timers—vibrantly colored characters from the animal kingdom—stand in stark contrast to his sculptural wall clocks from the 1950s due to their graphic design. For children, the Zoo Timers offer a playful and cheerful introduction to telling time.
Designed by George Nelson in 1965, these wall clocks are made of metal and wood, feature a high-quality quartz movement, and come with a 1.5 V battery included. The Zoo Timers are part of the collection at the Vitra Design Museum.
