Polypropylene Armchair

Since 2000, the design manufacturer Magis has been producing the strikingly simple Air Chair based on a design by Jasper Morrison. Six years later, the British designer and the Italian design firm created the Air armchair with armrests. Morrison’s work is generally regarded as stripped down to the essentials. The Air armchair is stackable and made of polypropylene, which is reinforced with fiberglass and processed using a complex gas-injection molding process. The armrests flow seamlessly into the chair legs, giving the chair an extraordinary sense of lightness. This effect is enhanced by the open spaces created on the sides, which Air promises airy seating comfort—true to its name. Thanks to the durable plastic material, the Air chair can be used both indoors and outdoors. In addition to the color options listed below, the Air armchair is available in additional colors.
