The name is a play on the English words “shelf” and “selfish,” and at the same time hints at its intended use, because “ Kartell ” Shelfish serves as a wall shelf, providing a permanent spot for small, personal items—in the bathroom or wherever they’re needed. The Italian manufacturer Kartell produces the Shelfish wall shelf from PMMA, which makes it sturdy, resistant to moisture and water, and therefore perfect for use in the bathroom. The small shelf is available in various colored-transparent finishes.
