Open Shelving Unit Made of Oak and Steel

Woody is the name of this modern interpretation of a shelving system inspired by a traditional ladder. With no obvious front or back, it works just as well as a freestanding piece of furniture as it does when placed against a wall. It embodies the idea that a shelf shouldn’t be visually overpowering—leaving room for the items displayed on it. Woody It clearly embodies the spirit of modernism. It dispenses with superfluous elements, and the details of its construction are left exposed. The shelf is made exclusively of oak, wooden slats, steel, and screws. The treated oak gives the shelf a traditional Scandinavian look, which is refreshed and contrasted by the steel shelf inserts. This creates a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity, of simplicity, modernity, and playfulness. This is typical of the Danish design firm HAY and its exclusive collection—for it is one of Rolf’s convictions HAY , who entered the market with his company in 2003 and quickly established it.
