Pedera Table Lamp

The Pedrera lamp was created in the mid-1950s. Innovative in its design and choice of materials at the time, it is now considered a classic. Its well-thought-out and refined design has lost none of its classic charm over the decades. Pedrera It fits perfectly into a modern home and lends the interior a cozy and light atmosphere. The small Pedrera H2O table lamp fits on tables, sideboards, and dressers. There, it takes a discreet back seat and, with its striking appearance, resembles a sculpture. The Pedrera lamp was designed by the Spanish architect and designer Barba Corsini. In 1953, he was commissioned by the real estate company managing Gaudí’s famous residential building & #039;La Pedrera & #039; in Barcelona to design apartments for the penthouse level of this building. For the Pedrera building, Barba Corsini subsequently designed 13 individual apartments, which were numbered 1 through 14 out of superstition. For these apartments, he also designed a series of lighting fixtures and furniture, which included the Pedrera lighting fixtures. Barba Corsini drew inspiration for the lighting series from the slender, cylindrical chimneys of the Pedrera building. The “ Pedrera ” table lamp, which is now manufactured by the Danish company Gubi , owes its name to its origins.
