Corkscrew in the Shape of a Jester

The “ The Jester ” corkscrew is part of the limited edition from the Circus Collection by Alessi . Designed by Marcel Wanders, it is a corkscrew shaped like a jester. The jester cleverly conceals the corkscrew’s functional parts. The circus platform on which the jester stands is placed over the bottle’s cork, and the jester’s body conceals the corkscrew’s screw. The cap, in turn, serves as a practical handle that makes it easier to remove the cork.

Strictly limited edition &, and handcrafted

The “ The Jester ” corkscrew by Alessi is a sculptural object for enthusiasts and collectors. It is available in a limited edition of 999 pieces, each of which is numbered. The corkscrew consists of a total of 40 stainless steel parts, which are assembled using three different manufacturing processes. The lost-wax casting process is used for complex design elements with fine details; CNC machining is used for mechanical details requiring high precision; and the flatbed laser cutter is used for complex geometric shapes. The colored parts of the corkscrew are painstakingly hand-painted, which is why minimal variations may occur. However, this is not a flaw; rather, it makes each individual corkscrew a truly one-of-a-kind piece. It is the perfect gift for special occasions.
