With the Nomad Chair , Sebastian Jørgensen, designer at We Do Wood , has rediscovered a true Scandinavian furniture classic. That’s because the Nomad Chair is inspired by the legendary Roorkhee Chair, which was originally developed for British officers stationed in India. It was eventually redesigned by the Scandinavian designers Kaare Klint and Arne Norell.

Practical, Sturdy, and Comfortable

The Nomad Chair is in no way inferior to its predecessor in terms of functionality: It can be taken apart or put together in seconds. This allows it to be easily carried from room to room and set up wherever it’s needed. At the same time, it’s not only extremely practical but also very comfortable, offering a pleasant seating position.

Sustainable Moso bamboo wood free of harmful substances

The Nomad Chair stands out not only for its high functionality but also for the material used: It is made of certified Moso bamboo, one of the most sustainable natural resources the world has to offer. We Do Wood works exclusively with certified plantations and can therefore guarantee that the wood is grown without chemicals, pesticides, artificial fertilizers, or other harmful substances. The actual furniture manufacturing process also takes place entirely without harmful chemicals. The Nomad Chair is also available in an oak version.
