Pendant Light with a Sine Curve

The design concept behind the “ Alma ” pendant light by Wästberg is a circle featuring sine waves that diffuse the light. The interplay of light and shadow created by the sine curve results in a light fixture that creates a pleasant atmosphere above a dining table or desk. But even when suspended freely in a room, the “ Alma ” pendant light—designed by Tham &, and Videgård—is a real eye-catcher in both private and public spaces.

Made of aluminum in a soft, minimalist form

The “ Alma ” light was originally developed for a coworking project in Stockholm called “ Alma .” Tham & & Videgård were commissioned to renovate the five floors and, together with Wästberg , to develop the building’s lighting solutions. The exceptionally flat pendant light is made of aluminum. Its soft, minimalist form creates a pleasant atmosphere and lends a sculptural quality, even in daylight. It looks great both on its own and in groups within modern interiors. In addition to a pendant version, it is also available as a wall and ceiling fixture Alma .
