Swivel Office Chair with Leather Upholstery

The Soft Pad Chair, designed by Vitra , was created in 1969 by Charles &, and Ray Eames. Its construction and form resemble those of the Aluminum Chair. The sewn-on upholstery creates an interesting contrast to the slender aluminum profile. This makes the Soft Pad Chair softer and more opulent without losing any of its transparency and clarity.

Models EA 217 and 219

The EA 217 and EA 219 models are the office swivel chairs in the Soft Pad Group chair family by Charles and Ray Eames. Thanks to their prestigious appearance, they are particularly well-suited for executive offices. Their tilt mechanism can be adjusted to the user’s weight and, combined with the soft upholstery, offers a high level of comfort.
The Soft Pad Chair EA 219 differs from the EA 217 in that it has a higher backrest.

& amp; Construction

The EA 219 office swivel chair sits on a five-star base with casters. The seat height is infinitely adjustable via a gas spring. The adjustable recline mechanism can be locked in the forwardmost position. The upholstery, consisting of polyurethane foam with three sewn-on cushion units, is available in leather in various colors. The side profiles, the tension bar, the armrests, and the feet are made of die-cast aluminum and are available in polished (with black casters), chrome-plated, or coated finishes.
