Shoji Paper Pendant Light

The Akari 16A pendant light from Vitra is part of the lighting series designed by Isamu Noguchi, which is characterized by a light, serene, and distinctly Japanese design.
Like all lights in the series, the Akari 16A pendant light is handcrafted from fine Shoji paper, through which the light shines gently and evenly. The designer was inspired by a visit to Japan.

Asymmetrical Paper Pendant Light

These traditional Japanese lanterns inspired Isamu Noguchi in 1951 to create a light fixture with a similar design—one that brings a sense of coziness and lightness to any space.
