The creation of the “ Vipp ” pedal bin is linked to a charming anecdote: In 1939, craftsman Holger Nielsen wanted to help his wife, Marie Axelsen, furnish her ladies’ salon on a budget, so he developed this pedal bin. The salon’s clients were so enthusiastic about the small pedal bin that they ordered additional models from Holger Nielsen for their husbands’ businesses and practices. Nielsen then began regular production of the pedal bins and founded the company Vipp , which is now a third-generation family business. The “ Vipp ” 16 pedal bin is also available in a stainless steel version and a special limited edition.
