Table lamp with an upward-curving steel wire frame

The Wire table lamp, designed by Verner Panton in 1972, is part of what was originally a very extensive series of table and floor lamps. Today, Verpan produces the table lamps true to Panton’s designs, made of chrome-plated steel wire and a hemispherical plastic lampshade. The light source (E14 for Ø 30 cm or E27 for Ø 40 cm) inside the structure is surrounded by a metal reflector that directs the light toward the inside of the shade, thereby creating a diffused glow. The steel wire frame, which rises cylindrically from the base, twists into a hemispherical shape open at the top, while the hemispherical plastic shade on the opposite side rounds out the spherical look. The table lamp, which overall mimics the iconic shape of a light bulb, is available in two sizes. Verpan offers the Wire table lamps with a transparent cord (L 220 cm) featuring an on/off switch. Every Verpan product comes with a certificate of authenticity. This certificate guarantees that it is an original product, still manufactured today according to Verner Panton’s strict quality standards by Verpan .
