Mother-of-Pearl Table Lamp by Verner Panton

The Fun 2TM table lamp from Verpan was designed by Verner Panton in 196 4. The Danish designer was known for his extravagant designs and his attention to detail, which is also evident in this table lamp. The Fun 2TM table lamp is characterized by its numerous mother-of-pearl elements, which are connected to one another without any metal rings. The mother-of-pearl chains hang from two metal hoops, with the light source located in the center. As a result, the lamp casts a soft light that creates a cozy atmosphere in the room. When the lamp is moved, the mother-of-pearl plates tinkle softly, reminiscent of a glockenspiel, creating a particularly soothing effect.
