Aesthetic sofa with removable cover

Following the success of the original Develius design from 2018, designer van Vliet, as part of his ongoing creative explorations Develius Mellow sofa for & Tradition developed. This adaptation offers an even softer seating experience and features a removable cover that extends the life of the sofa. Van Vliet describes his work as creating a world within a world, and Develius has evolved into a mature concept. Develius Mellow retains the basic structural framework of the Develius family, but adds a padded layer within the fabric cover, maintaining the architectural aesthetic while increasing comfort. The removable cover allows owners to extend the life of the sofa by being able to clean or replace it when signs of wear and tear appear. Van Vliet envisions a world around his designs. He sees Develius Mellow as an open fireplace, an inviting island for the whole family. To allow easy combination with other furniture and accessories, the sofa has a light aesthetic, resting on black wooden legs.
