At the same time, the armrests, the height-adjustable seat, and the wicker-weave backrest provide exceptional comfort.\r\nThe design of this iconic chair was created in the late 1920s by Marcel Breuer, based on the design by Mart Stam, who is considered the creator of the S 64 and S 32 chairs. The S 64, which is now equipped with casters, was developed in collaboration with Swiss designer Christophe Marchand, who had previously designed tubular steel furniture for Thonet and based his design closely on the original.\r\nThe wooden parts of the chair are made of stained beech, while the seat and backrest are made of wicker.
