Tubular Steel Cantilever Chair as a Tall Bar Stool

Thonet ’s S 32 VHT bar stool takes a classic to new heights. The design is based on Marcel Breuer’s famous S 32 tubular steel cantilever chair from the 1920s, whose popularity stems from the exciting combination of materials: the bentwood typical of “ Thonet ” with its characteristic Viennese wickerwork contrasts with the minimalist use of tubular steel. Thanks to its clean lines, the bar stool—with a seat height of 64 cm—can be used in a wide variety of interiors, such as offices, kitchens, and restaurants.

Made of tubular steel with wicker-wrapped seating

The bar stool features a tubular steel frame available in chrome-plated or color-painted finishes. The seat and backrest are made of stained beech with a wicker-weave covering and sturdy plastic support mesh or netting. The bar stool is also available in an upholstered version. Thanks to its light weight, this comfortable bar stool is easy to carry and reposition.
