Fold-Away Coat Hook

The wall hook from side by side combines aesthetics and functionality at their best. This elegantly designed coat hook can be easily folded away when no longer needed and disappears into the slim, oiled-wood body. When extended, the aluminum hook provides space for up to six hangers to hang clothing.

Special Manufacturing Process

While the wall hook was designed by Sabine Meyer, industrial designer and project manager at side by side , the Steinhöriger Werkstätten—a workshop for people with disabilities—is responsible for its production. Here, up to 350 people with disabilities find work at specially adapted workstations, giving them the opportunity to build social connections and develop self-confidence, self-respect, and self-esteem. In this way, a sense of community is fostered, and individuals can experience the value of their own work through fair compensation. The wall hook is available in oak, pear wood, maple, cherry, and walnut.
