Glasses for Riesling and Zinfandel

"Sommeliers" is a classic wine glass series from Riedel , launched by Claus Riedel in collaboration with the Italian Sommelier Association A.I.S. (Associazione Italiana Sommeliers). The hand-blown Grand Cru glass for Riesling and Zinfandel is part of this series and is also suitable for other wines such as Bardolino, Montepulciano, Primitivo, and Scheurebe.

40 Years of the Sommeliers Wine Glass Series

The Sommeliers Series, featuring 10 different wine glasses, has always been—and remains today—the benchmark for wine glasses of all kinds and is the world’s most successful handcrafted glass series. Each glass in the series is meticulously handcrafted from crystal glass and is one-of-a-kind. The upper parts are blown into shape, while the stem and base are formed by hand. In addition to wine glasses for various red and white wines—such as Chablis, Riesling, Reserva, Burgundy, and Bordeaux, among many others—the series includes glasses for sparkling wine, water, grappa, sherry, tequila, champagne, cognac, stone fruit, pome fruit, whiskey, and martini. A particular eye-catcher is the Blind Tasting glass, which is entirely colored black with cobalt and manganese. The color of the wine cannot be perceived through the opaque glass, allowing the wine taster to focus entirely on the wine’s aroma and taste.
