Pendant light with soft, rounded lines

The Fluid pendant lamp was designed by the architecture and design firm Claesson Koivisto Rune for the Danish company Muuto . The lamp’s design deliberately departs from strict geometric forms and features a natural aesthetic with soft, rounded lines.

Like a drop of water just before it hits the surface

Claesson Koivisto Rune were fascinated by the surface tension of water and the way it shapes water droplets. They incorporated this fascination into the design of the Fluid pendant light, which resembles a water droplet just before it hits the surface. The Fluid Muuto pendant light is completely enclosed. When in use, the entire lamp body is illuminated, casting a soft light that radiates in all directions. The shape of the Fluid light varies depending on the viewing angle. This is due to deliberate irregularities in the design. In contrast to the curved upper part, the lower side is flat. This also results in the downward-directed light being stronger.
