Herbstregen Drinking Glass

The Syksy Marimekko ’s drinking glass is made of hand-blown glass. The Syksy (Autumn) Glass series, designed by Matti Klenell, continues the exploration of nature and weather phenomena that is a hallmark of Marimekko ’s printmaking. The overarching theme of the new series is the forms of autumn rain, ranging from a gentle drizzle to powerful, penetrating showers. A refined, nuanced, and tangible sense of rain has been captured in the glass products as an organic, relief-like surface texture applied in a sketchy manner typical of the designer.
