Pendant Light with an Elliptical Body

The " Titania " pendant light is a classic from Luceplan . Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzato designed the light back in 1989. Color filters are used to customize the color of the light’s body, which then appears to float in the room with a futuristic, ethereal quality. Numerous aluminum slats form the elliptical body of the Titania pendant light. The light source is located in the center, emitting light through the slats into the room. Colored filters can be inserted into the pendant light with a simple hand movement, bathing the slats in the desired color. The light color at the center of the fixture always remains white. The slats also ensure that the direct light from the Luceplan Titania does not cause glare. At the same time, they reflect the light and distribute it throughout the room. Visually, the thin slats make the top of the light appear almost invisible when viewed from the front, while it appears solid when viewed from the side. The length of the pendant lamp’s suspension can be adjusted using a spherical counterweight. Thanks to the lamp’s lightweight construction, Luceplan s Titania can be easily mounted even on lightweight, sloped, or wooden ceilings.
