Timeless, glare-free designer lamp
The PH 80 floor lamp is a stylish, elegant piece for the living room. The three-part lampshade provides glare-free light and soft shadows. Designer Poul Henningsen was the first to study light from a scientific perspective, utilizing the logarithmic spiral for this purpose. With this approach and the use of glass, he achieved an even distribution of light and diffuse reflection, meaning that glare and shadow effects could be adjusted as desired. The individual shade elements evenly diffuse the brightness.Highest-quality materials for first-class design
The PH 80 floor lamp is not only suitable for the living room but, thanks to its timeless design, also for all other rooms, such as the bedroom or office. The lamp base and shaft are made of high-gloss chrome-plated steel, while the shades are made of opal acrylic and polycarbonate.Architecture and Light: Poul Henningsen
Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen, the son of the famous Danish actress Agnes Henningsen. He did not earn a degree in architecture, but studied at the Frederiksberg Technical School from 1911 to 1914 and then at the Technical College in Copenhagen from 1914 to 1917. He also began to apply traditional functionalist architecture. However, his professional interest soon focused primarily on lighting design—and that is what he is famous for.Exquisitely Crafted Lighting Design - Louis Poulsen
