Componibili Made from Recyclable Material

Kartell ’s Componibili was designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri as early as 1969 and is now one of the Italian manufacturer’s best-known designs. The storage units can be placed in any room of the house: in the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, and living room, as well as in the children’s room. The Componibili are design classics with a tradition spanning decades; they have garnered widespread recognition for the conciseness and innovation of their design and have long been part of the permanent collections at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre George Pompidou in Paris. With the Bio version, Kartell is presenting this iconic classic with a completely new material concept, keeping pace with the times. The Componibili 5970, with a height of 58.5 cm and a diameter of 32 cm, features three drawers and is available in various colors.

Made from 100% biodegradable plastic

The Componibili Bio is made entirely from BIO-ON’s bioplastic. This natural plastic is 100% biodegradable and is derived from plant waste. It is therefore classified as a renewable raw material. Technically speaking, it is not plastic; however, through the addition of microorganisms, the bioplastic possesses the same characteristics and thermomechanical properties as plastic and is therefore easy to process during production.
