Pendant Light with Customizable Notes

The Zettel’z 6 pendant light by Ingo Maurer is a unique light that you can customize yourself. The design is by Ingo Maurer himself, who created the light in 1998 as another variation of the Zettel’z 5. Zettel’z 6 is made of stainless steel and heat-resistant, satin-finished glass. The sheets, which are attached to the light fixture with small clips, are made of Japanese paper. The pendant light comes with 40 printed and 40 unprinted sheets in DIN A6 format. The sheets can be customized as desired. They provide space for pictures, notes, or short sayings. However, they can also be left blank if preferred. Since the sheets are arranged in multiple layers and at varying densities around the light source, they create a pleasant, indirect light. The varying intensity of the shadows cast adds to the ambiance. To operate the Zettel’z 6 pendant light, the manufacturer Ingo Maurer recommends, for example, an LED retrofit bulb with an E27 base.
