Glass Bowl with Drops

As early as 1964, Finnish glass designer Oiva Toikka created the famous “ Kastehelmi ” series, which is now considered a design classic—thanks to Iittala . Toikka came up with the idea for this design more by accident: He was looking for a way to make the seams of the pressed glass disappear and therefore placed small glass droplets on the corresponding spots. The result was a completely novel design that continues to impress today with its distinctive look. The droplets create a lively, reflective effect that makes the bowl an eye-catcher in any setting. With a capacity of 1.4 liters, the bowl is ideal for fruit as well as for serving desserts or salads—whether for everyday use or special occasions.
