The Soft Edge 70 stool by the design duo Iskos-Berlin combines detailed design with robust materials thanks to its extraordinary manufacturing technique. To perfectly shape the ergonomic seat, Iskos-Berlin and the manufacturer HAY employed an innovative technique for bending plywood. The inviting seat, made of matte-lacquered oak veneer, features bold curves that create an exciting contrast to the linear design of the legs. The materials couldn’t be more different either—the legs are made of powder-coated steel. They give the stool an industrial flair and make it look great in a wide variety of settings.
