Recyclable chair made from powder-coated steel

The idea for Hee arose from the desire to design an environmentally friendly chair whose materials could be easily recycled. By making a chair from a single material, you avoid environmentally damaging transportation between different production sites and also simplify the recycling process. The basic idea was to take an archetypal chair as a template and perfect it in every single detail, raising the design up a class, simplifying the structure and improving functionality at the same time. The aim was to create a clear, simple chair that would fit in many places - modern, but not so contemporary that it could not be used for a long time. Nothing is superfluous on this chair, nothing is mere decoration. No part could be removed without losing its function. The chair has a playful appearance, but the design in no way compromises its function. A throwaway mentality and environmental awareness do not go together. Finding a balance was also crucial in the design - in order to combine functionality and aesthetics at a high level, exactly the right wire thickness had to be chosen. The chair is made of 11 mm thick steel and its shape is reminiscent of a sketch of a three-dimensional pencil drawing. Hee The chair is available as a club chair, dining chair or bar stool. It can be seen in the new Oslo Opera House and in the Australian Parliament, among other places. The stackable chairs are galvanized and powder-coated. They can withstand any weather and are therefore also ideal for outdoor seating.
