A functional dining table with a clean, minimalist design

The Danish manufacturer HAY invited the designer brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to create a collection for the redesigned University of Copenhagen (KUA). The result is the Copenhague series, which consists of a chair, a bar stool, and various tables. HAY The Bouroullecs sought to design furniture for an educational institution that, through its form and identity, clearly belongs to our time while meeting the needs of a university. That is why the Copenhague CPH 30 dining table is highly functional without taking itself too seriously. The two designers were also keen to use their Copenhague CPH 30 dining table to break free from the institutional and bureaucratic aesthetic of traditional furniture in educational institutions and to create pieces with greater originality and a more homey feel. HAY manufactures the Copenhague dining table from wood; other variants are available upon request.
