Bench with Laminate Top

The Copenhague CPH Deux 215 bench by HAY is a piece of furniture that perfectly embodies Scandinavian design in terms of form and material selection. The designer brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec were invited by the Danish manufacturer HAY to design a furniture collection for the University of Copenhagen. It was intended to be functional and minimalist—yet, thanks to their cozy character, the minimalist pieces in the series also blend seamlessly into a home setting. The unique feature of the 140-cm-long bench lies in its surface texture: Using the latest nanotechnology, HAY has developed a laminate that creates a matte, soft-touch surface, making it not only extremely easy to maintain but also preventing fingerprints on the seat. The four legs, on the other hand, are made of lacquered oak, which adds natural accents.
