Round Bistro Table

The Danish manufacturer HAY invited the designer brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to create a collection for the redesigned University of Copenhagen (KUA). The result is the Copenhague series, which consists of a chair, a bar stool, and various tables. HAY , and the Bouroullecs sought to design furniture for an educational institution that, with its form and identity, clearly belongs to our time and meets the needs of a university. That is why the Copenhague Round Table—available as a dining table and a side table—is highly functional without taking itself too seriously. This is because the two designers were also committed to using their Copenhague Round Table CPH20 to break free from the institutional and bureaucratic aesthetic of traditional furniture in educational institutions and to design pieces with greater originality and a more home-like feel. HAY manufactures the Copenhague Round Table from oak; other variants are available upon request.
