Retro Floor Lamp with Adjustable Shade

The Multi-Lite Gubi ’s floor lamp was originally designed by Louis Weisdorf in 1972 and playfully expresses his passion for the diversity of forms. The head of the floor lamp consists of three basic shapes—two fixed cylinders and a hemisphere—surrounded by a narrow ring. What makes it special is that the hemisphere is divided into two parts, allowing the two halves to move freely and inviting you to play with shapes and light.

Individually adjustable light direction

Rotating the two halves of the shade not only changes the lamp’s appearance but also allows the light output to be individually adjusted. If both halves are rotated downward, the light shines toward the ceiling; if they are positioned upward, the light is directed downward, creating a cozy atmosphere. By shifting the two halves relative to each other, the light can be directed in a specific direction, which is useful, for example, for reading or working. No matter how the lampshade is adjusted—the Multi-Lite lamp always resembles an artistic installation, enhancing any setting. Placed in the living room, bedroom, or hallway, the lamp provides individually adjustable light and adds modern accents.
