Pendant light with an organically shaped shade

The Suspence pendant lamp is a creation by the Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi, who opted for a simple yet dynamic design. Their goal was to use the Suspence lamp to translate a sequence of movements into a tangible form. The result is a modern lamp for Fritz Hansen that is characterized by the motion of pulling—an elementary movement influenced by physical forces. This pulling force is clearly evident in the slight curve at the top of the lampshade, which gives the impression that the aluminum shade has assumed this shape due to a gentle tension.

Soft light filters through the organically shaped shade with its gentle curves; this light is concentrated by an Infinity diffuser made of polycarbonate on the underside, ensuring glare-free illumination. This makes it perfect for placing the light fixture above a dining table or desk. However, when arranged in a row in the hallway, the Suspence pendant lamp creates a pleasantly lit atmosphere. Removing the diffuser intensifies the light beam. The Suspence pendant light is available in various colors and sizes, which can also be combined with each other perfectly.
