Ergonomic high chair with a rich Danish heritage
The Shoemaker Chair & amp; Refine high chair is a Danish classic from 1936 that adapts to any body shape and is highly versatile. The seat, with its anatomically shaped curves, is made from a single large, solid piece of wood and is supported by three legs. The T-joint between the legs contributes to the chair’s stability. Due to the naturally varying wood grain, each chair is unique and brings Nordic aesthetics to the dining room or living room. Since the chair was first produced in 1936, the Werner family of woodturners has refined the shape of the Shoemaker Chair over three generations, improving both the design and production to make the chair what it is today: a true, archetypal classic. To this day, each chair is produced at the family-owned woodturning workshop, Gislev Drejerforretning, on the Danish island of Funen.Beech and oak in various finishes
Depending on the finish, the Shoemaker Chair is made of solid European beech or oak. It is also available in various natural color options and heights, making it equally suitable as a bar stool, office chair, or dining chair. The Werner designers say about the product: “We have worked tirelessly to optimize the early versions of the chair, making minor adjustments every year—both in the production process and in the finished product. Among other things, the T-shaped support between the legs was added for greater stability, and the shape of the seat was modified and rounded—if the chair tips over, the rounded profile now prevents the edge of the seat from breaking.”
