Fascinating floor lamp with an armor-like shade

For the Tatou floor lamp from Flos , designer Patricia Urquiola drew inspiration from Japanese armor. The honeycomb-like lampshade is reminiscent of a protective shield, such as the one worn by an armadillo—known in French as “ tatou .” This unique shade design creates a fascinating lighting effect: thanks to a satin-finished diffuser inside, the lamp emits light in all directions.
