Outstanding Lighting Design

Inspired by typical workshop lights, the Mayday lamp was designed in 1999 by Konstantin Grcic for Flos . Behind the lamp’s simple and unassuming design lies a true all-rounder, which was awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 2001 and added to the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Multipurpose lamp with a long cable

This multipurpose lamp from Flos can essentially be used wherever it’s needed. When doing manual work, you can carry it by its multifunctional handle, hang it up, or wrap the cable around the handle and place it next to you. It looks just as good Mayday in any living space as a simple pendant, ceiling, or floor lamp, with the 485 cm long cable offering maximum flexibility. Equipped with an E27 socket, the “ Flos ” lamp can be fitted with a suitable light bulb of up to 60 watts, making it suitable for use as a reading lamp, task light, or living room lighting. Also available in an outdoor version.
