Floor Lamp with Pleated Shade

The “ K Tribe ” F1 and F3 floor lamps from Flos stand out for their minimalist design, which is both modern and timeless. The lamps were designed by none other than Philippe Starck, one of the most renowned designers of our time. He manages to reinterpret what at first glance appears to be a classic floor lamp with a conical shade—through the materials used and subtle details—and translate it into a modern design language. Thanks to the natural-colored pleated shade, the light shines particularly softly and indirectly. This effect is achieved by the internal, matte-white diffuser, which evenly scatters the light and thus creates a pleasant atmosphere in the room.

The shade and diffuser sit atop a glossy, slender frame, which features a classic straight design in the F3 version and an attractive 90° angle in the F1 version—a feature that gives the lamp its distinctive character and sets it apart from standard floor lamps.
