Balloon-Shaped Table Lamp

The Gatto table lamp was designed by Achille Castiglioni back in 1960, and its voluminous shape is reminiscent of a hot-air balloon. The base of this extravagant lamp consists of a lacquered steel frame, which is particularly visible when the lamp is turned on and creates a unique interplay of light and shadow. The frame is enveloped by a cocoon-like cover made of synthetic resin fiber, through which the light is emitted gently, glare-free, and diffusely into the room.
