Unconventional LED pendant light with exposed cable

A work of art as a pendant light: With the AIM LED Flos pendant lamp, the designer brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec challenge two fundamental principles of lighting design. The first of these principles is the geometric center of the light source: lights are usually suspended centrally in rooms. With the AIM pendant light, this convention no longer applies; the light is anchored via long cables. As for the second principle, the two designers break with the assumption that the cable is merely a means to an end and must therefore be hidden: With the AIM from Flos , a forest of cables can emerge, featuring bold lines and serving an aesthetic function. The lamp head of the AIM LED pendant lamp can be mounted at any height with an adjustable angle—this complete freedom allows for unique combinations. The resulting installations are more reminiscent of art than of design. The direct, clear light of the Flos lamp is suitable for living spaces and for illuminating individual objects.

Plug-in Version and Dimmability

As AIM LED Cable + Plug, the innovative light fixture from Flos is also available in a version with a plug, allowing it to be easily plugged into an outlet. This opens up further, flexible lighting solutions. Flos manufactures the AIM from polished aluminum, ABS, and polycarbonate.
