With the Surprising Lounger, the French company Fermob and designer Harald Guggenbichler have reimagined the classic club chair. The result is a lightweight, slender chair for indoor and outdoor use that comes complete with a comfortable footrest.

Light and airy in form and weight

The elegant and modern Surprising Lounger by Fermob is made of steel wire and laser-cut sheet steel. The design only hints at the classic club chair shape and is otherwise light and airy. The minimal use of material makes the Surprising Lounger lightweight, allowing it to be easily carried and moved.

With a practical footrest

Its ergonomic shape makes the Surprising Lounger surprisingly comfortable. The practical footrest can serve as a standalone stool when needed. When not in use, it can be slid under the chair and stowed away to save space. Fermob has treated the Surprising Lounger with an extra high-protection finish to ensure safe outdoor use. The armchair and footrest are also coated with UV-resistant powder coating. Fermob offers the Surprising Lounger by designer Harald Guggenbichler in various colors.
