A Distinctive Designer Armchair from Milan

Driade ’s Nemo armchair is a unique and unmistakable piece of furniture. Its characteristic face-like shape is reminiscent of classic Venetian theater masks. The high backrest and deep seat make Nemo an ideal retreat, promising peace and relaxation. There are cutouts in the backrest where the eyes would be. Through these, you can still engage with the outside world despite your secluded position: Like a mask, the Nemo armchair both conceals and reveals the person sitting in it.

Inspiration: The Human Form

The Nemo armchair was designed by designer and architect Fabio Novembre for the “ Driade ” store collection. Human forms have always been a major influence on the Milan-based designer and were unmistakably the primary inspiration for the Nemo armchair. The armchair is made of polyethylene. The fixed version is very durable and therefore suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Nemo is also available in a swivel version for indoor use.
