Wooden Wicker Chair

Avant-garde meets tradition. While most shell chairs today are made of plastic, Design House Stockholm breaks with convention and crafts the Wick chair from bent wood. The chair captivates not only with its natural charm but also with its unique and distinctive design. Behind the design are Swedish designers Karl Malmvall and Jesper Ståhl, who draw their inspiration from classic craftsmanship: The shell is reminiscent of a basket and also incorporates its woven structure, which is echoed in the design of the backrest.

The Wick Chair not only meets all ergonomic requirements but also offers practical features: for example, the chair’s backrest can be easily hooked onto a tabletop. This is especially handy when it’s time to clean the floor again.

The Wick Chair is available in various versions. Not only can you choose between natural oak, black lacquered, or natural ash, but different base options are also available, allowing the chair to be adapted to various settings with wooden, steel, or swivel legs—making it suitable for use as a classic dining chair, as well as in an office or conference area. For personalized comfort, a matching seat cushion in various colors is available upon request.
