A Pendant Light Paying Homage to the Moon

For more than two decades, inventor and designer Alexander Lervik has been combining conceptual design with unusual innovations. For Design House Stockholm , he has designed a pendant light that appears simple at first glance but, upon closer inspection, pays homage to the most primordial of all nighttime light sources. Its name makes it clear even to the most skeptical observer that this Luna lamp is a representation of the moon.

Made of glass and transparent acrylic

Alexander Lervik has Luna created a unique pendant light that casts no shadows, only pure, uninterrupted light. Other pendant lights are interrupted by metal or plastic covers for the cables, Luna whereas this one is made entirely of glass, and even the cables and suspension system—made of acrylic—allow the light to shine through. This makes the minimalist light particularly well-suited for use above the dining table or as ceiling lighting in the hallway and living room. It transforms into an extravagant and extraordinary pendant light Luna into an extravagant and extraordinary pendant light when paired with the separately available Kosmos suspension system, which was also designed by Alexander Lervik.
