Modern Glass Oil Lamp

The Fyr oil lamp by Design House Stockholm has moved away from delicate ornamentation and presents a new interpretation by Johan Larsvall. A sensual light source that can be enjoyed all year round. & “I wanted to create a modern version of the classic oil lamp, which hasn’t evolved in over a century &,” says Johan Larsvall. & “I reduced it to its basic forms: the cylinder, which is attached to a slender waist and flares out toward the conical base. & ” The Fyr oil lamp features a stately conical base, a sturdy waist for the cylindrical wick, and a cylindrical glass funnel for the burning flame. The sturdy yet slender knob allows you to adjust the flame and tilt the lamp for transport. The fully transparent glass base shows the remaining lamp oil level and allows you to monitor the wick’s movement as you turn the knob.
