Leather Armchair from the 1950s

The “ Knitting Chair ” by Ib Kofod-Larsen for Audo —which was originally released in a limited edition as early as 1951—is being relaunched by Audo under the “Modernism Reimagined” concept and is making a comeback in the world of modern Danish design. The chair marks the Danish manufacturer’s first attempt to reissue old classics of Danish design. Named for the elbow cutouts that allow for maximum comfort while knitting (or reading), the chair is the work of a master designer. The chair, whose shape is reminiscent of a folding chair, looks great in any room and blends in anywhere thanks to its timeless appearance.

The chair, with a particularly low—and therefore very comfortable—seat height of 30 cm, features a frame made of dark-stained and waxed wood. The seat and backrest are crafted from leather or sheep’s wool, ensuring exceptional comfort.
