Designer table lamp with a wave-shaped diffuser

The " Mezzachimera " table lamp is the smaller version of the Chimera floor lamp. It was designed in 1969 by Vico Magistretti for the Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide . The lamp’s elegant wave-like shape is accentuated by the translucent white of its body. Mezzachimera produces indirect light. The three light sources illuminate the entire lamp body from the inside out with varying intensities. This elegantly accentuates the lamp’s wave-like shape and underscores its sculptural character. The translucent body of Artemide ’s Mezzachimera is made of methacrylate. The lamp’s wavy shape is achieved by hot-bending the material during the manufacturing process. The base is made of painted metal.
