Luna - A candleholder with many faces

Designer Anders Nørgaard created the Luna candleholder—a flexible candleholder that adapts to the tastes of its owners. With this piece, the Danish manufacturer applicata presents a design object in typical Nordic style, featuring minimalist forms that emphasize functionality and adaptability. The fine craftsmanship of the wood and the brass elements lend the candleholder an elegant character. Luna It consists of an oak tray and four candle holders. The candle holders can be moved around the tray as desired, removed, or reattached. The candlestick’s flexibility opens up numerous possibilities for use. During Advent, use all four candles and decorate the tray with fir branches, nuts, and apples. The rest of the year, the candlestick also looks great with just one or two candles. Use the round tray as a place to set fruit or small items. Depending on how you Luna give it, it reveals a different side to us time and again. For the Luna candleholder, designer Anders Nørgaard drew inspiration from the night sky: ever-changing and awe-inspiring, with the moon at the center and shining stars all around—sometimes more, sometimes fewer. His intention was to design a candleholder that can be used all year round and to which everyone can add their own personal touch.
